2009 Cooking Intensive Participants

Purpose:

The underlying intention of the Institute springs from Tibetan Buddhism. It has been created to promote widespread bodhicitta: the strong wish to work together for the benefit and awakening of everyone, all sentient beings, in everything we do. From this perspective, we respect all of the wisdom traditions of yoga and healing.

  • A primary purpose of the Ayurveda Polarity & Yoga Therapy Institute (APYTI) is to promote a deeper understanding of the healing power of Ayurveda, particularly Ayurvedic nutrition and self care, in everyday life.
  • A second purpose is to offer educational programs about Ayurvedic Polarity Therapy. Ayurvedic Polarity Therapy integrates the ancient science of Ayurveda with the more modern energy work of Dr. Randolph Stone’s Polarity Therapy, and includes work with sound (mantra), touch (marma points, gentle handwork), and movement (Ayurvedic Polarity Yoga asana routines).
  • A third purpose of the Institute, in the future, is to offer first rate trainings in Yoga Therapy, using all the eight limbs of yoga for healing.
  • All of these culminate in the ASCE training Level I, and Level II supporting participants to become Ayurvedic Self Care Educators.

Amadea Morningstar, MA, RPP, RPE, founder, has 25 years of experience in Ayurvedic Self Care Education, and joins with other respected faculty to offer fully developed programs with a strong experiential component.
