Graduates of the first Ayurvedic Nutrition professional training course
This photo celebrates the graduation of the first Ayurvedic Nutrition professional training course, held at the Sivananda Ashram in Val Morin, Canada some years ago, with Swami Mahadevananda presiding. Each participant is to be congratulated for their patience and perseverance in graduating from this early inception of the professional training course, despite Amadea’s ungainly approaches at that time!

Doug Conwell
APYTI Graduate

Doug_Conwell_profile_pix_3I call my work Intuitive Massage, as it relies upon deep listening to clients.  It is overall a meditative, flowing experience that incorporates Swedish, Trigger Point Release, non-specific stretching and cranial sacral release, with some deep tissue work. Exploratory movements help reveal structural or tissue stress and holding, helping the client discover new patterns of movement and flexibility. Gentle stretching and small pauses allow the person to integrate the overall healing experience. Nutrition and lifestyle habits guided by Ayurvedic health principles can be incorporated as well.
