Ground yourself in the foundation of Ayurvedic cooking and explore a variety of approaches. Each of our showcase chefs will be sharing the unique lineage she carries:

POSTPONED, FREDERICK, MD: Ayurvedic Cleansing and Rejuvenation Retreat with Amadea Morningstar and Susan Weis-Bohlen at Fox Haven Farm. Come into the autumn clear and strong! Take a break from unproductive patterns and learn how to replace them with actions that will serve you better. Eat simple, cleansing Ayurvedic foods and juices. Connect with the elements inside and out. We’ll be moving (yoga, nature walks) reflecting, and learning about self care, including marma therapy for strengthening ojas, our vital energy cushion. Bring loose comfortable clothes, a journal, and watercolors, if you like. June 10 – 12, 2011, SANTA FE, NM: a new course in the ASCE, Ayurvedic Self Care Educator series begins. This level integrates Ayurvedic and Western nutrition perspectives on the essential tissues and their nourishment, drawing on experiential ways to communicate healing information to clients and students. We will be integrating Ayurvedic Polarity Therapy, mantra and marma therapy, and Integral Yoga into our work with effectively nourishing each of the dhatus.

As in ASCE I, the Ayurvedic Nutrition and Self Care professional training, you mentor directly with Amadea. Our focus in this series is working with clients who may or may not cook. Clinical discussion, pranayama, yoga, and teaching practicum.

The other weekends for this course are: Sept. 2 – 4, 2011, Jan. 20 – 22, 2012, April 13 – 15, 2012. Registration closed.
